What does counselling offer
Counselling is not about 'giving advice'. It is about learning to understand unconscious motives or 'learnt patterns' of behaviour which can make us feel stuck and unable to move forward in our lives.
This can result in overwhelming feelings of sadness, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, feeling of loss and unfulfilled potential or a sense of isolation and lack of direction.
Within the counselling relationship you are free to express yourself there are no thoughts or feelings that are 'out of bound'. Whatever arise we will explore together and try to understand.
Exploring feelings and issues underlying them is a challenging process and requires commitment from both of us to nurture your growth, development and well-being.
I will establish a safe therapeutic environment where you can feel supported and understood. We will explore your own internal resource that will enable you to grow in your own way and help you to discover and develop a stronger sense of yourself so that you can contain that anxiety, take back power that you give away and create the life that you want.
